Law Practice Milestone
Mr. Scalia earned his Juris Doctor at University of Baltimore School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of Maryland.
He is admitted to practice in all Nevada state courts. Is a member of the Clark County Bar Association; member of Nevada Trial Lawyer Association; Latin Chamber of Commerce and member of Clark County

MEET THE STAFF
SEANA K. CHAPMAN
Seana the firm’s paralegal and family law department manager has been with Joseph Scalia, Ltd. law firm since 2006. Short of appearing in court to represent clients, she handles every aspect with respect to family law cases. She is a certified paralegal since 1997 and has worked with firms specializing in Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice and Family law. She is newly married and is the mother of a beautiful 16-year old daughter and a handsome 14-year old son.
CRISTINA MORTEO
Cristina joined the Joseph Scalia, Ltd. law firm in 2001. She is primarily assigned in the criminal area of the firm but is likewise in charge of TPO cases and the sealing of records. She was born in Chicago and raised in Mexico where she obtained her degree in Business Administration. Prior to working in this firm, she worked for eight years as a managing administrator for the storage department of one of the biggest producer of ceramic tile for Mexico, Italy and the United States. She is happily married and the loving mom of Isabel.
JUDITH D. LOPEZ
Judith is the latest addition to the Joseph Scalia, Ltd law firm. She is currently assigned in both the family and personal injury departments and will soon start working in the criminal law department as well. She is a licensed attorney in the Philippines since 1999 and has worked with the Philippine judiciary for nine years before moving to the United States. Since 2002, she was fortunate to have worked with law firms in Honolulu and Las Vegas. She is happily married and the proud mom of Leyla.
EDGAR AMADOR
Edgar is one of the most versatile members of the Joseph Scalia, Ltd. law firm. He serves as the in-house IT of the firm and is likewise responsible for the client’s contracts and financial accounts. Edgar is a certified public accountant in Mexico and has worked in large transshipment companies for six years prior to moving to Las Vegas. He is currently working on getting licensed as an accountant here in the United States.
JESUS VELAZQUEZ
Jesus is the youngest member of the efficient staff of Joseph Scalia, Ltd. law firm. Aside from being in charge of all the files, he is also responsible for taking client’s affidavits, interpreting for the new and current clients as well as performing receptionist duties. He is currently attending UNLV to obtain his degree in Criminal Justice and is planning on attending law school in the near future.
JANYNE DIAZ
Janyne joined the firm in 2006 and is the friendly and efficient receptionist of the Joseph Scalia, Ltd. law firm. She has mastered the art of multi-tasking-- handling the phones, sorting incoming mail and facsimiles, attending to new and current clients as well as opening and closing files. Her being bi-lingual is a big plus for the firm. She is the doting mom of lovely Mia.
